“I wish to grow my hair back”

A 6^th grader at KIPP Academy, Ta’nya has aspirations for a better life. She has lived in a homeless shelter two separate times in her life, and the stress in her young life led to alopecia. What Ta’nya really wants is to grow her hair back. No child should encounter that much stress at such a young age. Ta’nya finally has stability in her life with the apartment she shares with her mother, Lamonica. Ta’nya and her mother now have “a place to live again.”
