Jim Blane, Chair of the Wesley Foundation Grant Committee, stopped by the SHC office today to present Pam Jefsen with a grant award that will replace the flooring in the common areas and hallways at McCreesh Place. McCreesh Place was built 13 years ago, using the Single Room Occupancy (SRO) model. SRO is a form of housing in which people are housed in individual rooms within a multiple-tenant building. The common areas (front lobby, community room, 3rd floor library) are used by residents, staff, and visitors. The hallways are used by everyone in the building to access their rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. The flooring on all three floors of the building is badly in need of replacement. We are so grateful to the Myers Park Wesley Foundation for their continued partnership throughout the years to help SHC with our capital improvement needs!
