Supportive Housing Communities (SHC) is seeking a passionate, strategic, and relationship-driven Director of Development & Marketing to help advance our mission of ending homelessness by providing affordable housing, supportive services, and opportunities for sustainable independence. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this leadership position plays a critical role in driving sustainable revenue growth, strengthening donor and community partnerships, elevating SHC’s visibility and storytelling, and expanding the organization’s long-term impact throughout the Charlotte community.

This is more than a fundraising leadership role — it is an opportunity to help transform lives and strengthen communities through meaningful philanthropy and strategic engagement. The Director of Development & Marketing will lead fundraising initiatives, donor stewardship, grants, events, sponsorships, communications, and brand awareness efforts while fostering collaboration, accountability, and mission alignment across the organization. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader who thrives on relationship-building, strategic thinking, measurable results, and inspiring others to invest in SHC’s life-changing work.

Candidates should have experience managing staff and have demonstrated fundraising success raising a minimum of $1.5 million through diversified channels.
