We have a running in-kind wish list. You can download a recently updated Word document version, here. We also maintain an Amazon Wish List where you can purchase items and send them directly to us. Any gifts on this list would be much appreciated by SHC clients who are either currently homeless (and being served by our street outreach team) or formerly homeless (and in one of our supportive housing programs). If you would like to drop off a donation, we would be very grateful, but will need to carefully coordinate to maintain social distancing guidelines for our residents.
To coordinate, please send an email copying Executive Assistant Diane Beecham at diane@aplacetoliveagain.org and Development Coordinator Robin Hancock at robin@aplacetoliveagain.org. Thank you for your support!
To make a financial gift, you can donate at this link or mail a check to:
601 E. Fifth Street, Suite 255
Charlotte, NC 28202
If you want to make your gift over the phone, please contact Tonya Bruce at tonya@aplacetoliveagain.org or 704-773-5859.
Many of our traditional volunteer activities are suspended in response to COVID-19. Still, there are many needs and many ways you can serve. To discuss options for volunteering during COVID-19, please send an email to shc@aplacetoliveagain.org and we will respond within 24 hours.
SHC’s flagship fundraising event will be held virtually in 2021. Please stay tuned for more information. You can help make our event a success by serving as a key sponsor or “virtual host” this year.
Sponsorship levels and benefits are listed here. If you would like to sponsor the event, have a lead for a sponsorship or want to sign up as a host, please contact Development Coordinator Robin Hancock at robin@aplacetoliveagain.org or 704-248-3772.
Consider making a legacy gift to SHC. Some of these have significant tax benefits. If you want to discuss the different options, please contact Tonya Bruce at Tonya@aplacetoliveagain.org.
If you want to know more about what we do, the first step is to schedule a tour at McCreesh Place (i.e., our Permanent Supportive Housing Complex on North Davidson Street). Or, if you’d rather we come to you, we would be happy to make a presentation to your faith community or work group.
Note: Due to COVID-19, McCreesh Place is currently closed for tours but we are still able to make speaking engagements virtually. To schedule a speaking engagement, please contact Antwine Mitchell, Director of Housing and Property Management at Antwine@aplacetoliveagain.org.
